Nina Zlateva was born in 1960 in Russe, Bulgaria. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts- Sofia in 1987, specializing in Conservation and Restoration. Until 1993 Nina works as a restoration team leader at the National Institute of Cultural Heritage. She is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1989 and a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) - Paris. Nina has over 10 solo exhibitions and many participations in national and regional shows and Autumn Art Salons in Bulgaria, Switzerland, France, Hungary, Germany and others. She is a participant in many  international painting Plein- Airs, as well as in the International Art Triennial in Sofia (1996). Nina Zlateva is presented in the World catalogue of arts "2000 Reasons to Love the World" in The Netherlands. She won an award at the International Painting Plein- Air in Sekeshfekervar, Hungary (2002) and had a nomination at the Festival of Sacred Arts in Czestochowa, Poland (2004). Her works can be found in art collections in Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, France, Great Britain, Norway, Japan, Denmark and the United States.
