Suli Seferov was born on December 8, 1943 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Graduated from the National Art Academy in Sofia in 1969 in the class of Prof. Ilia Petrov, majoring the art of painting. He took place in all national art exhibitions, nomerous Bulgarian events abroad - in Canada, USA, Greece, France, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, ets. Seferov has 28 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. His works are owned by the National Art Gallery, the Sofia City Art Gallery, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the Ludwig Gallery in Cologne, practically all art galleries throughout Bulgaria and many private art collections in the country and abroad.
Seferov is a holder of many Bulgarian and foreign awards and distinctions:
1967- First Prize for painting of the International Youth Festival in Sofia, 1969- Annual award of the Union of Bulgarian Art, 1971 - Award for painting of the National Youth Union, 1984 - Prize of the Ministry of Defence - for a work of art on patriotic theme, 1984- A state distinction, title and decoration, 1986 - First Prize for painting of the international art competition in Poland, est.
