Milena Dimitrova- Lena was born on 11 May 1995 in Varna. From 2009 to 2014 she was a student at the National School of Arts “Dobri Hristov” - Varna, majoring in Painting. During her studies she participated in all representative student exhibitions in the City Art Gallery- Varna, Largo Art Gallery, Active Art Gallery, etc. The young author also participated in the exhibitions at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute - Bratislava (June 2011, May 2013), Bulgarian Cultural Institute Dom Wittgenstein - Vienna (September 2011), at the National Student exhibition-competition in Sofia (May 2011). Milena won a second prize (2011) and a third prize (2013) in the annual autumn exhibition- competition of students from the Dobri Hristov Research Institute in the Largo Art Gallery. In 2012 Milena won a nomination and is one of 14 participants in the Expression of Form project, funded by the Lifelong Learning Program, the Leonardo da Vinci Sectoral Program. On this project, the selected students from the National School aof Arts "Dobri Hristov" went on two-week internship in Sicily, Italy. Milena had her first solo exhibition at Largo Art Gallery in 2014. In 2014 she graduated from National School aof Arts "Dobri Hristov", Varna with a professional painting qualification. The same year she started his bachelor's program at Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius". In 2017, she spent 4 months in Italy under the Erasmus student program, where she studied at Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania. She graduated from Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in 2018 with a bachelors degree in "Painting". She has participated in over 10 group exhibitions. She lives and works in Varna.
