In the first days of the new year 2024, the exhibition of the International Exlibris Competition Varna renews its journey, and the first stop is the City Art Gallery "Peter Persengiev" in the city of Novi Pazar. The start of the fifth edition of the traveling exhibition was given in September 2023 with a visit of the National Academy of Arts Branch to the Center for Contemporary Art and Library in Burgas. In October, the exhibition was shown at the National School of Arts "Dobri Hristov" in Varna. From January 18, 2024, the exhibition with the selected works will delight the residents and guests of Novi Pazar. The journey of the competition exhibition is realized with the financial support of the National Culture Fund through the "Distribution" program.

The kind hosts from the City Art Gallery "Peter Persengiev" provided the organizers Largo Gallery and the Jordan Petkov Art Foundation with all their free rooms for one month. With this gesture, they secured the opportunity to host not one, but four graphics exhibitions. In addition to the exhibition with the selected works from the fifth International Exlibris Competition Varna, the citizens of Novi Pazar will have the opportunity to see a second exhibition with selected works from the four previous editions of the competition.

The third exhibition is a solo exhibition of graphics by the winner of the third edition of the competition, the Ukrainian artist Oleg Denysenko. The show entitled "I wish I could fly" residents of Varna had the opportunity to see in 2021, and now the visitors of Novi Pazar will have this opportunity.

The fourth exhibition planned in the ambitious program will attract special attention and interest. This is the solo exhibition of graphics with augmented reality "Divine Comedy" by the Veliko Tarnovo artist Svetoslav Kosev. The unique project initiated by the Largo Gallery was dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri and was held under the patronage of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Italy in Varna in 2021 - the year of Dante. Svetoslav Kosev created this extraordinary series of lithographs, inspired by the immortal work of the Italian poet, in partnership with two of his colleagues. Simeon Zhelev is the author of the calligraphy, through which Dante's poems are elegantly inscribed in Kosev's lithographic compositions. Atanas Markov is the author of the augmented reality application, through which the works "come to life" on the screens of mobile devices.

The extremely ambitious project of the Jordan Petkov Art Foundation, presenting four exhibitions of graphics at the same time, will remain at the attention of the public in Novi Pazar for a whole month until February 13, 2024. After that, the exhibition of the International ExLibris Competition Varna will travel to Shumen, where it will be visited for the first time by the students of Shumen University "Konstantin Preslavski".

International Exlibris Competition Varna is a biennial held in Varna since 2014 and has five editions. Until 2021, the Largo Art Gallery was the organizer, and from 2022 this role will be taken over by the Jordan Petkov Art Foundation. From its first edition until now, the competition has been realized with the financial support of the Municipality of Varna through the Culture Fund. The traveling exhibitions of the competition in 2022 and 2024 are being held with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
